Crew Chiefs - Nine enlisted members who were primarily responsible for
maintain one of the OH-6 helicopters. It was the crew chief's
responsibility to keep the aircraft looking its best and performing at peak
efficiency. Duties ranged from changing engines, components, gearboxes and
starters to keeping fuel and oil at the right levels, to cleaning the Plexiglas
windshield.
When traveling to and from air show sites the crew chiefs traveled in their aircraft with the pilot.
